How to: Jules from Euphoria

Keep on reading for one of Jules' poems... or scroll to the bottom for details on the look. ~Jackie

LESA HUMANIDAD

I

A landfill of bodies

boiling over in earth and blood.

The Genocide born from the symbol.

II

The Grand War dead, but with an open eye.

A young girl still thinks herself a crime.

Our ears, forever deaf to her voice.

LESA HUMANIDAD

I

Un vertedero de cuerpos

rebosando en tierra y sangre.

El Genocidio nacido de la marca.

II

La guerra muerta con un ojo abierto.

Una niña aún se piensa un crimen.

Nuestros oídos siempre sordos a su voz.

Jackie again! I see Jules from Euphoria as a very poetic character so I thought I would write something for her, Lesa Humanidad. I added it in Spanish because it was first written in that language. (The pictures are not related to the poem, they're just pictures of the outfit inspired by the character; which, I'll be discussing down below.)

Jules Vaughn, my personal favorite character in the first season of Euphoria, is a very complex person that has been able to maintain this aura of kindness and light despite everything she has lived through. She is a young trans girl with a hopeful spirit.

I believe her style is fundamental to the character, as it is a direct representation of her feelings. It is also what sets her apart from everyone at Easthighland. She's an outsider, coming from the city, after her parents' divorce, and now finding herself almost trapped in a suburban environment. Her appearance is her form of expression.

Her platinum blond hair and her blue eyes are only accessories to her vivid makeup and eclectic, yet cute, fashion, composed mainly of short skirts and layered tops.

My Look Diary

1) CONTRASTING LAYERED TOPS - Urban Outfitters UO Surf Tie-Dye Mesh Top with the UO Fleur Lace Cropped Cami

2) MINI SKIRT - H&M Pleated Skirt or as an alternative, the Urban Outfitters UO '90s Celestial Mesh Mini Skirt

Please be nice to my poem...

Stay Curious.

Jackie
